                         Classic Spaghetti Carbonara

Ingredients:

  • 400g of spaghetti
  • 150g of pancetta
  • 4 large eggs
  • 100g of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • Large pot
  • Frying pan
  • Mixing bowl
  • Fork
  • Stirring spoon
  • Measuring cup

Instructions:

  • Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente.
  • While the spaghetti is cooking, heat a frying pan over medium heat and add the diced pancetta. Cook until crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, grated Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
  • Once the spaghetti is cooked, reserve a cup of the pasta water and drain the rest. Quickly add the hot spaghetti to the frying pan with pancetta and remove from the heat.
  • Pour the egg mixture over the spaghetti and toss quickly to combine. Add reserved pasta water a little at a time until the sauce reaches your desired consistency.
  • Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley and additional Parmesan cheese, if desired.
